Natura supported the organization of the training “Cosmetics of the Future: Unraveling Biotechnology" held by ABIHPEC. The initiative, organized by the Innovation and Technology area of the entity, aimed to provide a broad and practical understanding of the various applications of biotechnology in the Personal Care, Fragrance, and Cosmetics (HPPC) sector and is aligned with our commitments to sustainability and environmental responsibility to innovate in more effective and sustainable products.
During this period, 10 comprehensive virtual classes and an 11th in-person class were held. The technical coordination was led by Antonio Machado, a Biotechnology specialist at Natura, and Luciana Galvão, Industry Relationship Coordinator at the Senai "Dr. Celso Charuri" School.
In the closing lecture, “The Future of Biotechnology,” topics such as the following were discussed:
- The main commercial applications of biotechnology today and how it, when associated with other technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data, will considerably expand our universe of solutions to current problems.
- The importance of using these tools consciously and in compliance with all mandatory legislation.
- Examples of how biotechnology will revolutionize, especially, the cosmetics sector in the coming years.
- An overview of the job market for biotechnology professionals, highlighting the versatility of the segment, which generates thousands of opportunities in various markets.
It was gratifying to participate in the round table, where we were represented by Antônio Machado, who reinforced our commitment to advancement and innovation, alongside other participants from major companies in the innovation and biotechnology ecosystem. We thank ABIHPEC for the invitation and its dedication to promoting initiatives that drive the development and sustainability of the HPPC industry.
