Natura was present as a sponsor at the ANPEI 2024 Conference, which celebrated 40 years of innovation. The event took place in São Paulo from August 20 to 22, with the theme Boundaries of Duality: Eco Innovation and Digital Revolution, bringing opportunities to discuss topics such as Research, Development, and Innovation in Brazil. In this context, Natura highlighted the connection between regeneration and sustainability with technology and data digitalization.
During the event, our director of advanced research, Romulo Zamberlan, gave a lecture on Amazon Digitalization: New Era of Sustainability and Regeneration. He addressed the need to generate a positive impact in the Amazon and to resort to methods that ensure its viability, as Natura has been seeking through its network of partners: “It is no longer enough to be sustainable; we need to aim for regeneration through powerful partnerships for its viability.”
At our booth, we also presented Natura's digital innovation initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of the Amazon, highlighting the implementation of advanced technologies, including drones, Artificial Intelligence, and IoT to optimize forest inventory, climate and soil monitoring, productive traceability, and prediction of cosmetic benefits. In addition, we had the participation of Bluma at the booth offering hand massages with our Ekos Castanha Body Concentrate to visitors. One of Natura's most recent innovations, which transforms into a creamy moisturizing deodorant when water is added. The 250 ml bottle is reusable and made 100% from plastic collected from the Amazon rivers.
The Natura Campus, a means of relationship between Natura and the scientific environment of Deep & Life Science, was present at the Natura booth and at the FINEP booth, where we are co-financers of a project with Bioverse - a deeptech that is helping us in the digitalization of the Amazon. EnrichinLAC was present with us at the event, taking the opportunity to connect participants with Europe, promoting cooperation in the areas of research, development, and innovation.
We also highlighted the technical visit we offered at Natura's Innovation Center in Cajamar, encouraged by ANPEI to generate networking and practical experience of the concepts discussed. The visit was conducted by our Open Innovation and Funding Manager, Thadeu Junqueira, who also presented the Natura Campus and its fundamental role for innovation.
We thank everyone who interacted with us over these days. The exchange of experiences brought interesting insights and enriching connections. Therefore, we invite all those who have synergy with the DeepTech and Life Science ecosystem to learn more about the Natura Campus program and collaborate with Natura!
