São Paulo, January 16, 2020 - The Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) of the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Brazilian multinational cosmetics company Natura launch the third edition of the Capes/Natura Campus Excellence in Research Award. The deadline for applications ends on February 28. The announcement can be consulted at the address pcn.capes.gov.br. The winners will be announced in June 2020 by the Official Gazette of the Union, on the CAPES https://www.capes.gov.br/ and Natura Campus Portal www.naturacampus.com.br.
The award aims to stimulate the production of scientific research focused on sustainability and biodiversity, strategic themes for the economic development of the country. The submitted articles must address topics related to "Molecular sciences and bioinformatics with applications in cosmetic technologies" and "Amazon: data science contributing to socio-environmental conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.”
The selection and recognition mechanism consists of the evaluation, by Capes, of articles published in high-impact scientific journals.
Award
One article will be selected in each of the two themes. The award consists of R$ 25,000 for each of the winners, airfare, and daily allowance for the authors to attend the award ceremony. The location of the award ceremony will be announced soon.
The winners will receive a certificate of award for the graduate program and research from which the awarded article originated. Second and third places will also receive certificates during the ceremony.
