Join the Pan-American Conference on Alternative Methods

On August 23 and 24, the 2nd edition of the Pan American Conference on Alternative Methods will be held. For those interested in submitting scientific papers, the deadline is May 30.

The event aims to identify and promote the development of new alternatives to animal testing with a focus on scientific collaboration, uniting South America, Central America, and North America.

In 2016, the Conference held its first edition in Baltimore, and this year the chosen city to host the event is Rio de Janeiro, where topics on cosmetics, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, fragrances, and much more will be presented.

“This is the main event of the year for us to discuss alternative methods to the use of animals in Brazil. Prominent names from academia and industry will be present. Our expectation is to reach an audience of 200 people interested in the evolution of research and in a future without animal testing,” says Vanessa Rocha, scientific manager at Natura, who is part of the conference's steering committee.
