On the next 21st, Natura and Idesam will host a Webinar to present the case of the RECA Project, which aims to recognize the role of family farmers in forest conservation. The emission reductions resulting from avoided deforestation are traded between farmers and Natura as part of the strategy of its compensation program, which has publicly committed to being a 'carbon neutral' company since 2007.
On this occasion, the Methodological Guide for Presentation and Evaluation of Forest Carbon Payment Projects in Small Properties and Communities in the Amazon (learn more by clicking this link), developed during the project to encourage the emergence of similar initiatives in other Amazon communities, will also be presented.
