Traditionally, the oil has been used by communities in northern Brazil as a source of shine and strengthening for hair. However, Natura's team of scientists delved deeper into the molecular analysis of the ingredient and discovered even greater benefits for consumers.
In this video, researcher Juliana Lago explains how Patauá oil acts in inhibiting the STAT 3 protein of the JAK-STAT pathway, providing an extension of the anagen phase, which is the hair growth phase. Thus, applying the oil to the scalp results in longer and stronger strands.
