Applications are open for startups interested in participating in the Natura Amazon Challenge - Businesses for the Standing Forest. This initiative, a collaboration between Natura and the non-profit organization Artemisa, aims to support entrepreneurs in the Amazon region who have solutions with a positive socio-environmental impact aligned with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Up to 25 startups will be selected to join a pre-acceleration process, a high-impact immersion where business models and socio-environmental impact refinement will be worked on. To participate, it is necessary that the business brings a socio-environmental impact solution that can be applied in the Amazon region, even if it was conceived in other regions of the country. Startups with a prototype or developed product, in the testing phase in the market, or that have already been validated in the market and are in the early sales or expansion phase are of interest.
The selected entrepreneurs will have access to innovative tools, connections with other entrepreneurs in the region, and mentorship from a robust team of specialists in their sectors and in social impact businesses. The goal is that by the end of the program, the entrepreneurs will have more clarity about the next steps for their business so they can advance in developing fundamental aspects within their entrepreneurial journey and be better prepared to grow and generate socio-environmental impact in the region.
