The prototyping stage mobilized the participants of the Ekos Hackathon over the last two days. On Friday and Saturday, the formed groups began to work together to bring their ideas to life, always aiming to present solutions that connect the Amazon and nature to people's daily lives.
The prototyping marathon started on Friday, the 18th, with the groups already presenting their initial projects early in the morning, developed based on all the information that had been shared in the first days of the event, about innovation at Natura, the Ekos brand, and the daily lives of forest residents.
But they were also able to count on some special visits during this construction. Consumers, Natura consultants, and representatives from the local community came to follow the evolution of the prototyping process and share their opinions regarding the concepts being developed by each group. These inputs were valuable for our selected participants to adjust the course they were following and build more effective prototypes.
This first day of the prototyping stage of the Ekos Hackathon also featured the presence of Natura's Vice President of Innovation, Gerson Valença, who spoke with the groups and suggested ways to enhance their ideas.
On Saturday, the work continued at full speed. The projects began to take shape using a variety of resources. Both programming tools and digital interface tools were used, as well as a laser cutter. Additionally, the prototyping space was enhanced with two 3D Cloner printers, operated by our partners from E.TECH, which greatly assisted in the development process.

With the prototypes finalized, our participants received guidance from our host, Murilo Gun, along with other important guests of the event, to prepare their project presentations, which will be evaluated on the last day by the panel that will determine the winners of our innovation marathon.
