The Ekos Hackathon: Hands in the Forest started with a lot of energy. Throughout Wednesday, the 16th, our 32 participants, coming from various cities in Brazil, gathered at the Atrium Quinta das Pedras hotel in Belém to understand the details of the challenge that will guide them during these four days of immersion in nature and prototyping.
The participants began arriving throughout the afternoon, welcomed with a table of regional fruits and traditional popsicles from Pará. During the afternoon, they started to interact and took the opportunity to explore the hotel space.
The Opening Ceremony began with a message from Guilherme Leal, one of the founders of Natura, who invited the group to broaden their perspectives in the search for innovative solutions, not only for Natura but also for the country and the planet.
Following that, the guests had the chance to learn more about innovation at Natura and the Ekos brand. Claudia Pinheiro, the director of the Global Personal Care unit, and Luciana Hashiba, the manager of the Networks and Innovation area, presented information to assist the selected participants in building ideas that connect nature and the Amazon to people's daily lives.
After this initial chat, our host Murilo Gun humorously led the presentations of the participants, who shared their ideas with the others.
