We have prepared a very special event to share more about the Ekos Mãos na Mata Hackathon and inspire us on a night of innovation at Cubo: on this day, we will have the presence of amazing people who will share and discuss with us topics related to sustainability and nature, entrepreneurship, and the maker movement:
Daniel Oliveira
Co-founder of the Green SP collective and Researcher of Sustainable Technologies at Natura. He works in managing Biodiversity projects in the Amazon and Cerrado, prospecting native plants with potential use in the cosmetics industry, organizing productive chains of these assets with traditional communities, family farmers, and partners. In São Paulo, he promotes social mobilization for participatory and collaborative gardening and urban agriculture.
Heloisa Neves
Creator of WE FAB, a company based on collaborative, open, and hands-on methodologies applied to innovation processes. She has been working on spreading the maker culture in Brazil since graduating from the Fab Academy (MIT - Fab Lab Barcelona) in 2012. Since then, she has co-created several Fab Labs, provided consulting to implement others, written books, and given many talks on the subject. Academically, she holds a PhD from USP, where she developed the concept of Maker Innovation and is currently a professor at Insper.
Anielle Guedes
She is a young entrepreneur concerned with creating and developing technological solutions that have a social focus, such as CIS Transporte (urban mobility) and Urban 3D (3D printing to build low-cost housing), which was presented at the UN in Geneva in April and at the G20 meeting in June 2015. She studied Physics and Economics at the University of São Paulo (USP), with a postgraduate degree in Sustainable Products and Productive Chains from the European Institute of Design and Exponential Technologies, applied to global challenges at Singularity University in California (USA).
The event will take place on the evening of next Tuesday, November 10, starting at 6:30 PM, in the auditorium of Cubo, located at Rua Casa do Ator, 919, Vila Olímpia, São Paulo, SP. At the end of the event, we will have a moment of integration and fellowship on the Rooftop!
