Natura opens sustainable industrial complex in Benevides and proposes network innovation

Natura inaugurated in Benevides, a municipality of 50,000 inhabitants located 35 km from Belém (PA), the so-called “Ecopark,” a venture that will concentrate the production of soaps, essences, and fixed oils from Natura, and is expected to generate around 250 direct and indirect jobs.

Built on an area of 175 hectares, previously occupied by a private property, the project is inspired by the concept of industrial symbiosis, which seeks to connect companies from different market segments with common interests and complementary needs. In this way, Natura will occupy only 10% of the total area, and the remaining space will be allocated to host other companies interested in joining the industrial hub.

The “Ecopark” has been planned to be an ecologically correct venture and houses facilities for rainwater reuse, taking advantage of natural ventilation and lighting. Furthermore, the use of bicycles is encouraged in the vicinity, and electric cars are provided to facilitate the mobility of employees and visitors to the complex.

This new manufacturing unit of Natura starts operations with a production capacity of 280 million bars of soap and 480 tons of essences and fixed oils. In addition to these products, the “Ecopark” will also absorb the production of “noodles,” a base mass for soap manufacturing, ensuring that the Brazilian and international markets are supplied with products 100% manufactured in the Amazon.
