Recognizing and rewarding researchers from the Amazon Region who contribute to the advancement of science through the development of plant ingredients, as well as increasing the dissemination of already conducted research. This is the objective of the 1st edition of the Amazonian Plant Ingredients Award, which was launched on September 2nd.
Between September and November, 30 ingredients were submitted!
The evaluation of the submitted proposals was conducted by a mixed scientific panel composed of three researchers from Natura and two Brazilian researchers in the field of natural products.
The evaluation process focused on the quality of the presented ingredients, regardless of their application in cosmetics. Among the criteria, the following were assessed: projected biological activity, technical aspects of the research, including methodologies, processes, traceability, and phytochemical and biological characterizations. The evaluation also took into account the number of ingredients submitted. The winner was the one who received the highest scores based on these criteria.
Meet the winner of the Award below:
Researcher Ana Cristina da Silva Pinto, from INPA, will receive an award of R$ 30,000 to promote the continuation of research related to plant ingredients.
We renew our satisfaction with the participation of everyone in this process and reinforce our desire to continue expanding ways of interaction to identify opportunities and synergies in research and innovation for the development of the region.
We invite everyone to stay connected to the Natura Campus Program through our portal and social media, and to follow new collaboration opportunities.
