Discover the results of the New Water and Oil Insoluble Ingredient Challenge

The Challenge New water and oil insoluble ingredient was launched in August and aimed to map a new plant-based ingredient with low environmental impact that is insoluble in oil and water, to replace hexylene glycol and be used in one of the phases of Natura's three-phase oils.

Ten projects were received from seven different institutions through the Natura Campus portal, between August and November.

We recognize the relevance of the projects received and inform that all proposals showed great adherence to the objective of this challenge. For the selection of the project, the benefits, maturity of the presented technology, time needed for the availability of the technology, application potential, plant-based sourcing, obtaining process, and environmental impact were evaluated. The selected project was the one that received the best scores based on the criteria above.

Meet the approved project below:

The proponent of the best-rated project will be invited to come to Natura to present the project to the involved researchers. In addition, the proponent will be invited to immerse in the process of using sociobiodiversity at Natura, from a visit to a Producer Community to a deeper understanding of the innovation process, laboratories, and interaction with executives.

The challenges, held periodically, represent a new way to promote interaction with researchers from academia, companies, and other members of the scientific community, technology, and innovation, in order to generate new and more relevant knowledge, built collaboratively and that adds value both to Natura and to society as a whole.

All participants will receive feedback on the evaluation of the submitted proposal via the registered email.

We renew our satisfaction with the participation of everyone in this process and reinforce our desire to continue expanding the ways of interaction to identify opportunities and synergies in research and innovation.

We invite everyone to stay connected to the Natura Campus Program through our portal and social media, and to follow new collaboration opportunities.
