Natura Receives 205 Million Reais in Funding from FINEP for Innovation

The only Brazilian company to be listed among the 10 most innovative in the world, according to Forbes magazine's ranking, Natura once again reinforces its commitment to the constant innovation of its products, processes, and technologies. FINEP (Brazilian Innovation Agency) has just granted the company a record funding of R$ 205 million for its research and development initiatives.

The amount approved by FINEP will finance Natura's Innovation project portfolio over the next two years, with short and long-term objectives. This includes the development of new technologies, considering ingredients from Brazilian biodiversity and bioagriculture techniques, consumer safety initiatives, with research on new alternative methods to animal testing, and open innovation programs aimed at bringing the company even closer to its main innovation partners, such as universities, research institutes, and consumers themselves.

“Innovation is part of Natura's DNA. In the last two years, our innovation index was 67.2%, and the funding granted by FINEP will help us maintain this pace,” says Gerson Pinto, Vice President of Innovation at Natura. “Natura's vision of innovation is broad and encompasses product design, management of environmental impacts, and the development of new businesses,” the executive adds.
