Between August 15 and October 22, 2012, Natura received projects for scientific, technological, and innovation research in collaboration through the Natura Campus 2012 Project Call. The Call had two announcements with different areas of research interest: Amazon Announcement and Science, Technology, and Innovation Announcement.
The objective of the Amazon announcement is to engage Science Institutions in the region and generate new businesses based on the sustainable use of sociobiodiversity products from the Amazon region. During the promotion of the Amazon Announcement, we visited more than 10 Institutions, impacting over 360 people in person.
The finalists participated in a coaching and immersion process organized by Natura in partnership with Endeavor. This workshop also included the participation of researchers from Natura and covered topics such as entrepreneurship and innovation, where the finalists were able to prepare for the next evaluation phase, which involved a panel of Innovation directors from Natura. Out of 12 projects, 6 were approved with a total proposed budget of R$2 million.

In the next phase, Natura and the selected institutions will begin the negotiation and contracting process for the selected projects.
The results of the Science, Technology, and Innovation Announcement will be announced in the second half of February 2013.
