Natura and MGH Establish Scientific Collaboration

Natura is the first Brazilian company to establish a scientific collaboration with the Cutaneous Biology Research Center (CBRC) of one of the leading hospitals in the United States, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).

MGH is the largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School and conducts a prestigious research program globally recognized for being a leader in generating innovative science in basic and clinical research, which primarily aims at the development of new therapies. The institution, founded in 1811, currently has more than 20 departments and research centers, led by highly renowned researchers who aim to deepen scientific knowledge about various physiological and pathological processes using innovative technologies.

With the help of this scientific collaboration, Natura aims to accelerate the acquisition of scientific knowledge and further integrate technology and innovation into its products and concepts. “We are expanding our collaboration networks with world-class institutions. Thus, we contribute both to the generation of scientific knowledge in Brazil and bring technological innovations to our country that will benefit the consumers of our products,” explains Victor Fernandes, director of Science & Technology at Natura.

In this sense, the scientific collaboration established between MGH and Natura represents an important initiative, which has the potential to contribute to greater internationalization of science in Brazil.
