Natura Researchers at IFSCC 2024: Silas Arandas

Silas is the manager of the Experiences, Well-Being, Effectiveness, and Sensory division at Natura and presented a research project at IFSCC 2024 that evaluated the effectiveness of the antioxidant action of a cosmetic product containing ingredients from Brazilian biodiversity and vitamin C.

This study involved conducting clinical tests on women aged between 50 and 60 years and analyzed parameters such as the presence of molecular biomarkers, characteristics associated with roughness, brightness, and skin uniformity. These factors were analyzed at different times during the study to establish comparative methods.

After the completion of the study, an improvement in skin texture and smoothness was observed, accompanied by an increase in antioxidant enzymes. Thus, the combination of Amazonian ingredients with vitamin C revealed great potential for the formulation of cosmetic products, demonstrating efficacy in reducing oxidative species. This synergy stands out as an effective strategy in the development of anti-aging formulations.
