Cinthia Ferreira is the scientific manager of formula development at Natura and, at IFSCC 2024, presented the project on the moisturizing body deodorant for the reconstitution of the Ekos Castanha line, Natura's concentrated body moisturizer. This project stands out for its innovations in sustainability, with significant reductions in various aspects, such as carbon emissions, waste generation, and plastic use in packaging.
The consumption proposal is based on the use of a refillable bottle, with the consumer responsible for reconstituting the cream. Simply mix the concentrate with a specific amount of water to obtain a stable composition. This process gives the consumer the opportunity to make their own moisturizer, and the refilling represents a significant reduction in the transportation of materials, promoting a more ecological and efficient solution.
The development of this product involved a series of tests and analyses of the combined ingredients, with an emphasis on the hydrophobicity of the substances, to ensure a stable composition. In addition to being an innovative and sustainable solution, the product offers significant benefits for the skin, such as hydration, strengthening of the skin barrier, and improvement in texture with continuous use.
