Natura is committed to adopting a production model by 2030 that ensures the circularity of packaging, guaranteeing 50% recycled content for all plastic used. In this context, it is worth highlighting some of the brand's achievements.
The Ekos Ryos cologne and the Ekos Castanha Concentrated Body Moisturizer were awarded at the Grandes Cases de Embalagem this year (GCE2024).
The Ekos Ryos cologne, inspired by nature, features caps made 100% from plastic retrieved from the Amazon rivers, with collection carried out by the Rios Vivos project, supported by the Natura Elos program, in partnership with riverside communities in Amazonas and Pará. Additionally, all bottles contain a percentage of post-consumer recycled material, which can be as high as 45%.
The Ekos Castanha Concentrated Moisturizer, on the other hand, is presented in a kit with a refill and a refillable bottle, the latter made from 100% plastic retrieved from the Amazon rivers. The 30ml refill uses 81% less plastic compared to a conventional 250ml refill, reducing waste generation by 55% and requiring 75% fewer trucks for transportation.
Another significant highlight was our unprecedented partnership with Nespresso in developing tube packaging for the Ekos Castanha Hand Moisturizing Pulp. For this creation, an extensive study was conducted on the aluminum used in the packaging composition. With this initiative, the tubes will be made 100% from recycled aluminum, with 10% sourced from post-consumer coffee capsules.
These achievements reflect our commitment to sustainability and life, guided by the responsibility to create solutions that respect nature and promote a regenerative future.
