The Fazenda Lagoa Seca, in Espírito Santo, has become the exclusive supplier of pink pepper for Natura! "This partnership represents an important milestone, as Natura, which previously imported the ingredient from Madagascar, now acquires this raw material with a guarantee of quality and excellence within the national territory," says Caroline Stüker, scientific manager at Natura.
The producer Ana Paula Martin Machado, from the third generation of the family, is the main responsible for this achievement. Her dedication brings the quality of capixaba pink pepper to two exclusive perfumes from Natura: the female Essencial Atrai (launched on Mother's Day) and the male version (for Valentine's Day).
Espírito Santo is the largest producer and exporter of pink pepper in Brazil, harvesting about 4,000 tons and exporting 1,200 tons after processing. São Mateus, the production hub, has been holding an annual pink pepper festival since 2023, which discusses the challenges of cultivating this species.
"This partnership reinforces Natura's commitment to valuing ingredients from Brazilian biodiversity and the continuous pursuit of excellence in its cosmetics," stated Yorgana Yajure, a researcher at Natura. Espírito Santo, the national leader in the production and export of pink pepper, celebrates this achievement!
